The DFNDR Armor® Special Threat Tested Trauma Plate Insert is extremely lightweight at only 1.4 lbs (7”×9”). Our STT trauma plate inserts are produced with a multi-curve profile to provide an ergonomic and comfortable fitting armor system designed to be inserted into the front and rear pockets of most soft armor vests. This armor system is rated to defeat multiple rounds of 7.62x39 (MSC, PS Ball, Ball) and 5.56x45 M193 ammunition.

The DFNDR Armor® Special Threat Tested Trauma Plate Insert is engineered with the highest grade of ballistic materials; an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber, bound with a resin matrix to make it a hard stand-alone armor system and equipped with Spall-Tek to further reduce deflection of projectile fragments.

This system is independently tested to the NIJ 0101.04 protocol at NIJ Certified Ballistic Labs.
